Who said you have to wait until December 1st to transform your home into a Christmas winter wonderland? There’s nothing to stop you from putting up your festive decorations now and it’s guaranteed to get you in the Christmas mood.
Digging out the Christmas tree from the loft and setting it up in the living room is an absolute given, as is putting out the fairy lights around the fireplace. But what about your windows? They can also be dressed up for the occasion.
Here’s a 3 ways you can winterise your windows for Christmas:
1. Buy a glamorous garland
We often see homeowners accessorise their front door at Christmas time by hanging a garland or wreath to it via some hooks. Why not buck the trend and add an attractive garland or wreath to one or more of your windows that can be admired from the indoors and outdoors. There’s a vast selection of them available, including designs with pine cones, baubles, berries, ivy, and even lights.
2. Christmassy candles
Create a window display by placing some LED-powered flameless candles or sweet smelling natural candles on the main window sill and dim the lights to create a true Yuletide ambience. Some natural Christmas candles sold on the high street even claim to give off a festive fragrance if you fancy having a seasonal scent flowing its way around the whole house.
3. Be crafty
Good with your hands and fancy yourself as a bit of an artist? Grab a pair of scissors and paper to fashion some snazzy snowflakes or create a wintery scene that you can apply to the glass or have nicely displayed in the window in full view of passers-by and visitors to your house.
