Lean-to Conservatories

Designs for lean-to conservatories

Lean-to conservatories were at one time actually thought to be an alternative to a conservatory for those who didn’t have the space. Following the contours of the building the typical lean to design was long and thin. This meant furniture needed to be placed in a line rather than allowing chairs to face each other naturally. As you can see from the picture, extended projection of the modern lean-to conservatory means if you have the space this no longer needs to be the case.

Lean-to conservatories are well suited to any type or age of property. Unlike Edwardian conservatories and other period designs, a lean-to conservatory will also work very well with a bungalow. In this case a low pitched roof can be designed to complement the shape of the single story property.
